| Many in today's society face the dilemma of homelessness, lack of employment and the proper skills to successfully compete in today's workforce. The increasing demand for programs in blighted, disadvantaged moderate- to low- income communities make it difficult for "One-Stop" and local workforce development centers to service all of the many areas in need. This is why Destiny has formed this community of services to promote the social and overall well being of those that are less fortunate to meet those areas of need for the hope of its community. Through the support of leaders, such as, Congresswoman Mary Bono, Senator Jim Battin, and Supervisor Roy Wilson as well as other local community leaders helps us to continue our services to strengthen our communities for the betterment of our society. Our Commitment Destiny's founder, Reverend Carl McPeters, and staff are dedicated to the success its program and programs like these to serve the under-serviced of our communities. Because of their long time involvement as members and leaders of the community, which are deeply rooted spanning over 50 years or more, Destiny is determined and committed to continue its work for the betterment of its community, family, and love ones through and with the help of grant opportunities, volunteers, and other various sources. |
